Deep sleep

It is a fact that our bodies undergo repair and restoration during sleep. This is brought about by the human growth hormone. In addition to this, the hormone is responsible for growth in human beings. Having deep and quality sleep induces the production of the growth hormones. Therefore, sleep deprivation means there are low levels of the growth hormones being released. In order to have quality sleep and stimulate the release of these hormones, take a warm shower just before you retire to bed.

Fasting intermittently

This doesn’t mean you abstain from eating the entire day. The point here is doing it intermittently. There are several ways to do the fasting. For instance, you can opt to skip breakfast and just have two meals in a day that is lunch and dinner. This form of fasting stimulates an increased release of the human growth hormones. Furthermore, fasting for longer will make the body not secrete insulin and this, in turn, triggers secretion of the growth hormone.

Intense workouts

Intense exercises can significantly help boost the production of growth hormones. This is because intense workouts subject the muscles and tissues to pressure and stress. The pituitary gland is then stimulated to release elevated levels of the growth hormones so that they can restore the worn out tissues and muscles. Indulge in those exercises that involve the whole body such as pull-ups, sledgehammer and jumping jack.

Don’t eat too much before sleeping


As you already know, the only thing that gets in the way of the production of growth hormones is insulin. In most cases, after having a meal the levels of insulin in the bloodstream are likely to get elevated. With high levels of insulin in the bloodstream, the human growth hormones are released in little amounts. Preferably take a meal three hours before you retire to bed so that by then the levels of insulin will have gone down.
